The Deer that Came to Dinner

The day that Frank came home from the hospital we looked out the window to see what we thought at first was a dog. It was eating at the red leaves on the tree outside the kitchen window. But it turned out to be a young deer, making himself quite at home on our deck. He must have a penchant for flowering plum trees!

The deer that roam the hills of our neighborhood make themselves right at home in our yards and even on our decks. They have very little fear of humans and will walk right down the sidewalk just 10 feet or so from us.
Our city is trying to determine what to do about the problem. Deer weren't such a problem when the cougars were around. Of course, the deer were here first so I guess we will share with them like they have with us!

Catch Up 2 - A Trip to the Park with Bridget

Bridget took Katie and I to the park a couple of weeks ago. It had rained earlier in the day which made for a muddy, wet bottom for Bridget, but we had fun and laughed alot at her enthusiasm for the sliding boards. If you listen over our uncontrolled laughter you can hear her cute squeals. What a precious little gal she is!!!

Playing Catch Up- Memorial Day Weekend and stuff

Jared invited the family over for some yummy smoked brisquet. As always the kids enjoy his terrific back yard. Ty pauses from his usual high speed playing.

Ethan, our cute little elf, always makes us smile.
Mia showed off her strength and skill at a recent Gymnastics Show. You should see her on climb the rope from floor to gym ceiling (kind of like spider man) and do jumps and flips on the trampoline! Wow.
We had a nice time at the Elementary School's annual Grandparent breakfast. See those kids hula-hooping in the background...Dallin decided that it would be best if we passed up the opportunity. We agreed whole-heartedly...it could have proved very embarrassing. However, there were a few grandma's who did try it.
