More Randolph Fun

We never run out of things to do in Randolph. Mia practiced ball bouncing and playing jacks. She also learned to handle a sewing needle and can now thread the needle and sew on buttons. She will be a cracker-jack seamstress one day!

Making homemade spudnuts/doughnuts is a regular activity in Randolph. Dallin and Frank made dozens and dozens and delivered them to very appreciative neighbors. Frank did the frying and Dallin had the job of glazing which he mastered in no time.

We played a crazy game of BINGO with Katie winning the prize for wackiest caller/announcer! We laughed till we cried! Where Katie comes up with those crazy voices and jokes is beyond me! Mia took a turn spinning too. Dallin was glad for a chance to do some target shooting with Grandpa with his new pellet gun. He has quite the aim. Don't worry, he did not shoot the gun in the house! They went up to the hills to shoot.
Another very favorite activity to do in Randolph is napping, Beth's favorite! Mia was kind enough to let Beth use her blankie and stuffed monkey while she slept. Katie snapped this shot.

Winter Fun in Randolph

You can ice skate without skates......

You can slide...and slip.....

and you can practice your Curling with large flat-sided rocks. (Curling is that strange event we first saw at the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympics.) All of these things can be done if, and only IF, you are lucky enough to find a frozen reservoir like this one up the street from our place in Randolph. The weather was perfect for some outdoor winter fun this past weekend. It was great to have Katie, Dallin and Mia join Frank and I in "paradise"!
